My Fios service was installed this morning and the first thing I did was set up the DVR to record shows. Now I can't figure out how to get the DVR to record a repeat of the show if there is already 2 shows being recorded.
Here's an example:
1. I have the DVR set to record shows A, B and C. All three are on tonight at 10pm.
2. Show C is being skipped because it is lowest priority but it's on again at 1am tomorrow.
3. The settings for the series recording are "new and repeats" and "all channels" but the show isn't on the schedule to be recorded. Only 1 show is being recorded during that time period tomorrow.
What can I do to get that show to record at 1am?
I've already tried the following:
1. Switching the series' priorities, it seems like I can't get any repeats to record if an episode is skipped because 2 shows are already being recorded.
2. I tried deleting the series recording and recreating it
3. I tried restarting the box
4. I tried verizon support chat and got a vague answer about "known issues with the DVR" and an expected fix but no idea when it will be deployed.
Thought I'd ask here since I can't be the only one with this issue. Thanks!
One other option to consider.
Is series set to record any time or just specific time?
Make sure it is set to anytime.
Thanks for the suggestion! Yes the recording time is set to "any time" but this is still happening.
