With all the features available to Verizon Fios Customers, why hasn't a CALLER ID DISPLAY been included in the STB Program?

It is being worked on. Several areas have had it deployed (also requires IMG 1.7 but is independent from it) but there are sufficient glitches that system wide deployment has been delayed. Verizon has give no timetable for continued roll out so all I can say is be patient, it is coming - just don't hold your breath.

Works pretty well in NJ. No glitches of any sort that I've seen.

Vthree, try changing the length of time you'd like to have the notification appear on screen. Perhaps you need to extend it.

I have had Caller ID on TV on two of my three STBs for 4 or 5 months, works very reliably. It will not work on one of my STBs because it is a QIP2500-1 and does not have enough memory to support that function; I could probably get a newer replacement STB but have not bothered to try so far.
To get Caller ID on TV, you must first have the 1.7 level of the IMG. Then Verizon must make the service available in your area (VHO). And finally, at least in some cases, it appears that certain hardware and/or software must be installed in the local central office that you are connected to. You must also have the free Verizon Call Assistant service; originally you had to sign up for that separately, but it is my understanding that now Verizon will sign you up automatically when you finally get and activate Caller ID on TV.
Nice little added feature that works very well.

It is in my area, but doesnt work if you have distinctive ring (2nd phone number with a special ring).
Too bad too, cause my Tivo does it on FiOS without problem 🙂
