Downed telephone lines outside my home (IMPORTANT)

I have not been able to reach anyone to report down telephone lines which are across my driveway and on the ground.  I have held on the phone for over an hour.  Terrible planning on Verizon's part not to have anyone available to take emergency calls.  Please see that someone comes out to repair this problem as I cannot get out of my home if necessary.  I am in my 80s and should not be in the type of a situation in case of an emergency.

Call your local police and have them handle it.
