Is it possible to NOT have a DVR in either record or play mode shut down during an emergency alert test?
This has happened to me several times, and I'm sure, to others.
Often, a DVR will be shut down in record mode during a program that is only being run once or is on its last run. Sometimes, a second chance to record won't be possible.
Can Verizon help?
I am sorry , but it is not possible. The EAS tests are a forced interruption to all boxes and equipment. There is no way around this. We are required to test the system regularly by law.
No but you can lobby against it, just like you guys do with net neutrality.
Can't have it both ways
