Easiest path to DVR upgrade?

What is the easiest way to get my upgrade for my DVR? I have a Moto QIP6416 and the on screen guide tells me I am eligible for a free upgrade, but generates an error when I try to do it on screen. I am losing the ability to receive certain stations because of the MPEG4 updates in Philly.

You can either call them....which may or may not work out easy.....all depeinds on the rep you get or you can try posting on the Verizon Direct forum on dslreports here https://www.dslreports.com/forum/vzdirect

Someone there should be able to help you fast. Only the Verizon reps can see your info on that specific forum.

notice the third one down might work for you....
