Ethernet-MoCa-STB

Goal is to use my own router. Had the ONT switched from Coax (moca) to Ethernet that I ran to the back of the verizon router. From the verizon LAN port I connected to the ethernet port on an Actiontec ECB6200 MoCa. From the other side of the actiontec I connected the coax that goes to my digital set top verizon box.
The Power and coax indicta=tor lights on the actiontec are green but the set top box says it does not have a signal. I reset the box but did not fix.

Please can someone help?

If using own router the configuration will be like this...

ONT > ethernet > router WAN

ONT > coax > cable splitter IN

  • OUT to set-top box
  • OUT to ECB6200

Router LAN to ECB6200

Both the STB and ECB6200 need to connect to the splitter. The set-top box can't be connected to the TV/STB OUT port because it doesn't pass MoCA.
