How many times have you come home to watch your favorite shows you've recorded on DVR , only to find that if they were delayed due to a sports event or a Special report the show you were hoping to watch was not recorded till the end. The whole channel lineup for the evening runs late, so why can't the smart techs at Verizon come up with a way for the guides to sync with the delay.
Not that I'm a fan, but I bet the ratings for the Amazing Race and any other show on that network suffers.
We have no control over the content. There is no way to anticipate ahead of time if a game is going to run late. Even if we did, the guide information is provided by a vendor. So this means coordinating 2 groups of people to an unknown variable. This is why on the recording options there is the option to record extra time on the end. Me personally, I just schedule the show immediately after my desired show if I know its following a sporting event.
