FIOS DVR options in the future

I switched from Comcast and had an external/separate DVD. I love my FIOS DVR but sometimes I just want to switch channels in the future and I don't know how to do it. I can record in the future, but even then it doesn't necessarily switch channels. I'm afraid the answer is very simple but I'm going to tough it out and ask the question.

Using the guide, find the show on the date and time you want.

Hit ok. Scrol down to set reminder.

I use this so stb come up on local news every am.

wish there was a series option for reminders though.
