FIOS Mobile App not connecting to the STB remote control

I recently ran into an issue with my FIOS router requiring me to setup a separate subnet because the FIOS router kept deactivating all my devices after a few days.  I installed a netgear router on a spearate subnet 192.168.2.x and kept the Fios Router default setting using 192.168.2.1 subnet. Device disconnect is resolved and  my devices stay connected to the network on 192.168.2.x via.

The only issue I am having is the FIOS mobile app connected via mobile phone device on 192.168.2.x is not able to connect to the STB on 192.168.1.x network to access the remote control features. All other functionality on the mobile apps works fine i.e. STB list names, DVRs, guide, etc.

Thoughts? Suggestions?

App has to be on the same subnet to find stbs for remote control.
