We recently had big problems with severe and unusable pixelation-distortion on many channels and intermittent "NO SIGNAL" drop-out on all channels. The serviceman CHANGED THE WHOLE FIOS box internal mechanisms which completely resolved the PIXELATION issue;, however the 'no signal' dropouts for several seconds continue, intermittently and irrespective of channels. Ideas please !!!

If the ONT was changed out then it could be a coax issue or a splitter issue.
Did they change any splitters as well?

They CONSOLIDATED the splitters which was ideal ,we went from like 6-splitters to ONE, but this problem antedated their work and continues now.

My guess is a compromised coax network. Make sure all coax connections are tight, all splitters are rated for 1Gz or more and all coax is good quality and undamaged.
You could also have too many splitters between the ONT and the STB. If you can remove some splitters, try that as a test.
Good Luck.

So is it only happening on one box?
If so, move it to one of the other outlets.
If it doesn't happen there, then either a bad coax, loose connection or bad port on splitter.
If it does, bad box.

It sounds like the RF signal on that coax is too weak. A 6-way splitter has an 11.5db loss so if anything is wrong with the coax or connectors it will knock out the set top box.
