I could scream! Lost cut off at 9:59. I have no idea why. Did this happen to anyone else?

I just found out that it was ABC. Dancing with the Stars ran over and the DVR did not pick it up. I complained to them and to the local affiliate.
Thank you all for your help.
What do you mean it was cut off? Did the screen go blank? Did it go to a commercial? What makes you think it was FiOS and not the local affiliate?
Do you mean the show cut off or your recording stopped early? If it was the show your beef is with the local ABC affiliate.
You are right. I don't know who it was. All I know is that it stopped recording at 9:59 and that last minute was one of the best minutes of television ever. I have perused other Lost boards and know I wasn't the only one it happened to. You all have given me good avenues to pursue. It never crossed my mind it could be the local affiliate.

If it "stopped recording," then it sounds like your DVR somehow got set to end a minute early (which is a setting). Make sure your default settings are to "end on time," not end X minutes early or late. If you had it set to "end on time" and it still ended at 9:59, then maybe the program guide had Lost set to end at 9:59, which would be an error with the program guide provider that Verizon uses.

That has happened to me more than once. It happens a lot when there are specials playing such as sports. I have actually recorded something I do not want in order to get the complete recording of what I want. It is extremely aggravating.
I was wondering if you or anyone out there knows about the change in service for sports? I am referring to the Boston Bruins vs. Philadelphia Flyers playoff games. The were on NESN, but, now have changed to VERSUS. I never heard of that but do you know how to go about getting access to it so that I can continue watching the playoffs? Any response will be greatly appreciated as I love hockey.
I suggest you use FiOS bandwidth and go to www.abc.com and rewatch the episode. FF to the last 5 minutes.
Thanks, I did watch the end on Hulu, but this was the most gut-wrenching moments of TV I have ever seen and the impact was lost. The moment was gone forever.
