FIOS times out after a few hrs - screen goes to needing to hit "Menu" key.  how to stop

If you have VMS/IP boxes then on your remote hit Menu/Settings/System/Media Server Settings/Auto Power Off and set to None. 

Older models will be similar I just haven’t had the older boxes for a while. Menu/Settings/ maybe Set Top Box/Sleep Timer and set to Never.
