FIOS yanked 51 music/entertainment channels from my plan

Just got an email stating I will no longer get 51 channels on my basic FIOS plan....I think I only got about 150 channels to begin with...I understand if the provider yanked them, but Verizon makes no mention of putting additional channels in their place, or offering a refund....Has anyone else seen this...I really liked these channels...Before I turn sour on Verizon, I'll give them the benefit of the doubt to hopefully explain here...after all, a third of my channels are now gone....

Thanks

The email I got clearly states that the channels will be removed from the FiOS TV lineup due to the "provider’s decision to discontinue the service", so I would not blame or be upset with VZ. Apparently URGE es no mas.

From Verizon's website "Programming services offered in each package are subject to change and not all programming services will be available at all times. "

From Wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/URGE_(digital_music_service)

Perhaps Verizon will switch to "Music Choice"..... Maybe they wont.... Don't act like you actually listened to more than 4 of those channels....

Verizon sent you the explanation already....

I HIGHLY doubt there will be any "credit" to your account, unless you take the time to call and complain enough... then maybe you can get a one time credit, or some free movies package for 30 days, or something like that

Best o Luck

For those of you that may not have read this, there are Music choice channels. Urge is stopping Urge, Verizon can only provide what is available. Quote from the Email I received.

"Although the URGE Digital Music Channels will no longer be available, we do have other content you might enjoy including Music Choice, located on channels 1800-1845 and Internet Radio located in the FiOS TV Widget Storefront – just press the Widgets button on your remote, select “FiOS TV Widgets” and choose “Internet Radio” in the “Featured” category.  "

Email I received. For those that may not have received it.
