Why is the Flyers game blacked out on both CSN and NHLNET in Philly? Is this yet another Comcast vs. Verizon issue?
Maybe it's on The Comcast Network, which was just added to Verizon in Philly this week on Ch. 99.

I am in King of Prussia and I was able to watch the game just fine on CSN. It was blacked out on NHLNET.
Agreed - CSN was fine here as well...
The game WAS blacked out on NHL Network, as is expected.
I tried to watch the Flyers' preseason games on NHLNET over the past few days ... and although the games (i.e., vs. Maple Leafs) were listed on the FIOS channels listings ... when selecting that channel when the game was scheduled to be on ... the screen froze up on one occassion and the diagnositics simply recorded a problem in my area (Broomall area). Another time ... the Pitt game was broadcasted repeated in the next couple time slots on NHLNET.
What's the problem? Are FIOS customers restricted to games only on CSN (76/576)? Is FIOS service programs such that games on other stations are simply blacked out (on NHLNET)? Is Comcast restricting access to any Flyers games they can and/or is FIOS unwilling to pay for access?
FIOS isn't less expensive nor does it offer any additional service than what Comcast offers ... so this lack of coverage/service and lack of info to be sure subscribers know what they are getting is unacceptable.
CSN and The Comcast Network have exclusive rights to Flyers games in your region, regardless of your provider. If CSN or TCN is showing the game, any other channel showing it nationally will be blacked out for you.
The same applies to me for Capitals games on CSN DC or CSN+ DC.
