Verizon's guide provider FYI is completely inept where it continues to have the wrong data for a lot of the channels that are on the guide. There are many channels that have been wrong for a  long time and still nothing has been done to correct the bad information that is on the guide that continues to exist. Channel 1664 ritmoson is always wrong and a much heavily hyped concert that will take place on march 29 at 8pm is listed as being on at 9pm but that is typical of what is wrong with the guide as anyone who tunes in to that channel can see that the name of the program that is listed in the right hand corner does not match what is playing. Some other channels where nothing matches at all are channels 1582 utilisima, 1646 canal 22, and 1507 supercanal. 1508 wapa is usually but not always wrong. Channel 1583 never matches at 7am, 8am, 10am and countless other times where what is listed is not the show but in fact it is paid programming. Channels 1509 from el salvador and 1548 dominican view have no schedules where i see that every other provider that has those channels has schedules for them but FYI does not. These are channels that are in the spanish package that people are paying for that do not match but the guide problems are not just limited to international channels. Cnn has a monday through friday schedule in the morning that should always match but on tuesdays it is wrong where the 5am-7am and 7am-9am shows are listed as 5am-6am then 6am-9pm. On msnbc weekdays the first look at the news show that is on at 5am is listed as a show that is about byu film students showcasing their films for the faculty at that school plus the first look show on bloomberg tv that is on at 12am also has that wrong description. Movies on the guide are affected by this problem too. A movie called "thirst" that will be on showtime beyond channel 371 at 2pm on tuesday that has been on showtime all month long is wrongly listed as a korean vampire movie when it is an american movie about people getting stranded where they are fighting for their survival. Another movie called "sin" with gary oldman when it is on is never listed on the guide where there is a blank space on the guide and it has been playing all month long on starz but now it will be on encore where the problem will still exist. The next time that it will be on will be next monday on encore action channel 360 at 1:30am april 2 where it will be on all month on encore where there will be a blank space on the guide when it is on. Mega tv channel 466 continues to have no logo there where the picture is a shaky one plus it also pixilates when you go there and when you tape something from that channel as you try to fast foward the program it skips over everything that you have taped where you can not see the images of what you have taped from that channel. 1540 cnn espanol has an 11am show weekdays that is not there on the guide and channel 108 abc news now has a show called what's the buzz that will be on again at 1:15pm that will not match where it will be listed as a texas travel show when it is a celebrity news show. FYI needs to be made aware of how what they are being paid to do by verizon is not worth the hassle since there is so much wrong with the guide that FYI's reluctance to correct things is seen by customers who have fios for their tv throughout the country as apathy and ineptitude.

Is there anyone out there at verizon that actually cares about or wants to assist customers with problems that exist with their fios? If not then it is completely justified that all of those attorney generals who have decided to take legal action against verizon for misleading people about how much they would actually pay and also then not providing customers with what they were promised which is to have the content that they are paying for to actually be there. Don't believe me? Google verizon attorney general where you will see that verizon's dishonesty is something that they will be held accountable for because the verizon stock will pay an enormous price for their relucatance to fix things that have been issues for a long time. From new jersey to massachussets to texas verizon has so many lawsuits because of their deceptive practices that fios may not be around that much longer. Netflix took a major hit public relations wise and their stock suffered  for it for their inability to give customers what they were promised so they lost over half their stock in just a matter of months. What that would mean then for a company who were to take a hit like that is that a company would have to start laying off its employees because their employees either flat out lied to customers or those employees did not even make the effort to rectify any issues that existed for customers who were complaining about those problems for a long time. The fact that the ceo of verizon announced recently that verizon would be stopping their expansion of fios throughout the country is an indicator of how the cost of having to pay people to settle those lawsuits plus the pressure of all of those attorney generals coming after them is too much for verizon. Next up for fios will be the board of public utilities who have been notified in several states where they too are looking at verizon for their failure to render services that were promised to people when they agreed to a contract with verizon. Problems still exist with the fios guide that people are paying money for specifically but not limited to problems with the spanish package. Nothing matches on channels 1507, 1582, 1646 and 1664 which has a major concert that will be on thursday night that will be televised live in over 60 countries one of which is the united states but if you have verizon fios you will miss the first hour of that concert as you can see right now for yourselves that the entire channel is 1 hour off. Mega tv channel 466 still has no logo and the images are shaky plus when you fast foward a recorded program it skips over the show without showing any images at all. 1509, 1548, and 1781 still have no schedules at all where people are paying for those channels but they can not tape anything off of it because of the shows not being listed. Everything that i said in my previous post still remains true so please fix these issues asap. The associated press widget is still missing too. Failure to give people what it is that they are paying for will lead to legal action.

Well at least there is one person at verizon who is paying attention to what i have been saying on here about the guide not matching on a lot of channels where if you were trying to set something up to try to tape it will not be there. Ritmoson channel 1664 from what i can tell is now perfect. Channel 1662 telehit by the way will be having a concert series called "vive latino" for three days straight that will start on friday march 30, 2012 that will be on from 8pm-3am then on march 31 from 8pm-3am then the next day which will be the final day of those concerts on april 1 it will be on from 7pm-3am where none of those concerts are listed on the guide even though the channel has been promoting those concerts for a long time now. What is on the guide for that channel is a schedule that is not up to date just like the rest of those channels that i have mentioned in the past that are still issues. Now i do not want to hear about how someone is going to tell me that this is pointless when on numerous occasions people have gotten things corrected for me and other people who have these issues too. Remember that there are four million fios customers all of whom pretty much have the same exact guide except for local news, local sports and public access channels so when you correct something that i have brought to your attention you are also making those corrections for all of those people too. The excuse that you just put up whatever it is that your guide provider and the channels give you is not an excuse that will suffice because when a lot of customers from different regions all throughout the country have similar type issues where the one unifying issue for them is that their guide is consistently wrong then that is a problem that verizon should seek to fix asap not continue to allow it to get worse while not doing anything about it. The 1.91 IMG may be on its way but that does nothing for the people who have been having these issues for a long time where it continues to get worse with each day that passes. It is not a matter of a select few who have these issues or a matter of sending out a tech or refreshing a box because the guide issues preceded a lot of the current customers before they got the service and it will probably continue long after they have dropped verizon for their service if things do not get corrected soon. Now i have personally spoken to the people who are responsible for putting together your guide at FYI where they are located in grand prarie texas and i am nowhere near there where all it takes is a phone call or an email with the specifics of what is not matching where within 24 hours they will fix all of the guide data that is inaccurate. Please if you can reread my comments about this topic on this thread as i am trying to not only get this corrected for myself but for all of the people who are having similar type issues but have no way of getting this matter addressed. To create a ticket to try to get it in the hands of someone who can try to fix all of this is pointless as i have been doing that for many years with very little results. All of the verizon employees who can fix this problem are all in virginia as are the people who read these forums so it is not that difficult a thing to get these issues fixed if someone can pass them on. If you can not then please pass it on to someone who can.

I believe that buried somewhere in one of his totally unreadable posts he said that he had been communicating directly with someone at FYI. I truely don't understand what he thinks he is accomplishing here posting this way, I feel pretty sure nobody is going to try to wade through all of that unformatted stuff to figure out what is there, and of course the forums are for users to help other users, not post issues to Verizon. IMO he should be using Chat, email, and/or voice contact with Verizon to document his issues.


But I guess he can do whatever he wants.....

Second that emotion.  Several of us have suggested the "outrageous" idea that he format his posts.  Whenever I see an mm1post I don't even think of trying to wade through the unreadable run-on paragraph (and I use the term paragraph extremely loosely).
