Fast Forward /Rewind Screeching Noise

When using fast forward or rewind (on my small box) I get an ear piercing screeching sound.  It's quite unnerving.  My dog has not stepped foot in my living room since I got Verizon.  Does anyone else have this problem and is there a solution?

This is very odd indeed. If you don't mind, can you unscrew the coax wires going into the box and then screw them back on please? After doing this, unplug the power cord to the box and plug it back in as well and then try again and let us know how it goes. This is not something that should be happening and it's very odd and rare that someone would experience this.
