I just bought my first 3D TV over the weekend (Sony PS3 3D monitor). I am having an issue with 3D content, like HBO and Starz OnDemand. I can see the image, with my TV combining the side-by-side images, but the resulting image is not being displayed in widescreen. It is a 16:9 image being displayed in 4:3 ratio, squashed in on the sides. What am I missing to get this displaying in full widescreen?
Thanks a lot for any help on this...just getting into 3D stuff, and am probably just missing some obvious thing.
Works fine on my Samsungs. Is you STB set as recognizing your TV as 3d, and sending the signal to autoswitch to 3d?
Yes, the STB has the TV as 3d-enabled, and is connected via HDMI. I tried mucking around with the resolution on the STB, changing from 1080i to 720p and re-starting the movie, but the same thing happens. The movie plays, but is not displaying as widescreen.
