Fios Enhanced Service only records 4 shows at a time

How come my fios Quantum enhanced DVR can only record 3 shows at a time while i am watching TV?  I have to cancel one of the 4 shows before i can continue watching a 4th tv program.  Very misleading.  If I wanted this limitation I should have just continued with my cheaper basic multi room DVR plan.  There is no advantage to Fios Quantum enhanced service if you are swtiching from Multi-room DVR service.

If you have other STB's that are "on" They are using a channel also. If you're recording something, but start watching the channel, not the recording, you're using 2 tuners there.

Sure sounds like you have other client boxes besides just a media server box. As mentioned anytime you have a client box on or recording something you are using tuners from the media server. There are no hard drives or tuners in the client boxes so you have to "borrow" then from the vms.

Turn off all client boxes and it will free up more tuners on the media server.
