Fios ONT VID light is red and no TV signal yet internet works?

I have Fios and the outside ONT has a red VID light indicating "low optical signal level". I get no TV signal but my internet, which is carried over the same optical fiber, is perfect. How can i have an issue with the optical signal (thus the red VID ligth) yet have internet work and TV not? I would think both should be dead? Any thoughts?

So apparently the fiber carries the data service (internet) and TV on different optical wavelengths. So the fiber itself is fine since the internet service is functional...however the optical splitter upstream on my house must not be feeding the TV signal into the fiber.

I can't be sure your assessment is 100% correct, but there does seem to be no doubt that you need to call Verizon tech support and have them look into the problem.
