Fios TV One 4K Colors Washed Out on Main Box

We have 3 Fios Mini Boxes and One Fios One Box.

The colors on the 4K channels (1491/1492) in ONLY the main Fios One box appear washed out but work great on the 3 mini boxes.

We swapped coax, HDMI, and TVs to test this and it appears to be the Fios One Box centric issue. We did all the other resets too. We also got a new Fios One Box and still same 4K color washout issue with only that main box. The three mini ones work great in 4K.

Could this Fios One main boxes have a design flaw?  Thanks for any insight.

Can you swap a mini with the main box and see if the issue persists?

Go here and select enable.

Main Menu > Settings > Audio & Video > Video Settings > HDR Setting

If it is already enabled, toggle it off, reboot the box, toggle it back on, reboot again. Also make sure enhanced color or what ever your TV manufacturer calls it is ON for the input on the TV you are using. And make sure under: Main Menu > Settings > Audio & Video > Video Settings>Video Format 2160P is chosen.

Thanks. We did all this. Color is a bit better but now service is completely stop/start or “freezing” in terms of the video frames. Again, this is only via the Arris main Fios One box. No issue with mini boxes.

Ok, the Fios boxes usually get HDR10, or HLG 4K as programming in 4K. Make sure your TV is set to Extended color, or Expanded color or something like that for the input you are using with the Fios box. The minis do not auto switch in and out of HDR 4K, so if you are NOT watching 4K HDR and have it enabled on the mini, it will result in false color on the TV. It may actually look better depending on you and the TV. Also a lot of people prefer over-saturated color on their TV, And if you have correct color you may find it a bit underwhelming. As far as dropping frames, make sure the HDMI cables are all 18Gbps rated or when you try to watch 4K HDR you will have those kinds of issues. And check all the coax connections and make sure the splitters are all MoCa 2.0 certified.

This is not the issue. Olympics 4k look like POO on my main box, blocky, can see pixel lag etc,  but fine on the Minis. Don't have an issue with regular 4k content like ESPN/FS1 4k sports

Is the main box setup for 2160P output? Have you tried to go into the Service menu and set the HDR to 2160 30P 4:4:4, or 2160 60 P 4:4:4 or is it set to 4:2:2? Have you tried a mini on the TV the Main box is hooked up to?

Tried all of your suggestions same issue. It is being discussed here. By the time you guys get your act together the Olympics will be over. What a shame you guys can't transmit proper 4k signal

I still see this issue with 4k HDR programming. Any update on this Verizon?
