Anyone here getting sick of Verizon practices? A few weeks ago I was notified they were dropping a few programs from my Verizon Extreme HD package. Today I get a postcard stating they are dropping another 10 channels. They did not reduce the price. After a bit of searching, I found these programs were moved from the Verizon Extreme HD package to their "Ultimate" package. Sooo if I want to keep them and get more channels all I have to do is apply for the "Ultimate" package any pay something like $35 per month additional.
What kind of game is this?? In another 6 months are they going to take programs from their "Ultimate" package and add them to their "Super Ultimate" package and charge another additional $35 per month? Something is very wrong here
Rog
Roger, we are all suffering from this bit of extortion. (read some of the other threads here.) Sadly, Verizon has a right to do it, as unethical as it is. As is always the case when corporate greed comes into play, the consumer is the loser.
Roger, when they don't drop a channel, they just don't support it. Big Ten HD has been nothing but pixels today; tried powering set topbox off and on; no help. Called it in -- their system can't understand unit address -- either keyd in or spoken! Then I got VZ to reset my set top box; now HD channels are gone! This company does not deserve to be in business...
Nothappyuser, did you speak to a tech support agent?
From your post it doesnt sound like you have. If you havent, then you cant complain as you have not given them a chance to fix it yet. The automated system cannot fix a tiling issue. That is a problem with the cable or incoming signal. And if it is a signaling issue, rebooting the stb can make matters worse, which could be why you are missing the HD channels. This needs human intervention. You need to call and get tech support to take a look.
