Getting DVR Working

I just switched from Comcast to Fios and have a DVR system I’m trying to get working.

The Fios Ethernet cable goes directly into the Google wifi router (no Verizon router)

The DVR does show up as a connected device on the Google home app.

Ive set the port forwarding the same as on the old router (6036 & 81, both protocols).

Yet, I am still unable to connect to the DVR.

any suggestions?

Is the DVR a fios ONE set-top-box?  If so, a Verizon router must be used to activate it.  Once activated, it works much, much better with a Verizon router.

Some more details about your equipment will help.
