Green Screen then Reboot

So for about the last month, my QIP 6146-2 box has every few hours or so gone to a green screen randomly for about 10-15 seconds (no audio) and then reboots.  Sometimes it just randomly reboots on its own without the green screen first.   Done the reset, coax cable unplug/replug, theres enough ventilation space for the box, and have done the stb self-troubleshooting option...all with no luck..

It looks like verizon recently came out to connect a house to an existing ground box - not sure if its related to this or just a coincidence

any suggestions?

Do you have any other boxes?

If so, do they have issues as well?

The 6416s are rather old.

Could be that HD is starting to fail.

I would suggest you watch as much as you can off your DVR.

If it fails hard, you will lose everything on it.

thanks - i was waiting to do that as a last resort as I've had past problems with replacement boxes, but that was what ended up having to be done.  new box works fine and am finally out of the stone age of the 6416-2 and onto the 7216

Quantum is the next step beyond the 72xx series boxes.
