My HD DVR box turns off itself while I'm watching multiple times a day. It recently happened 3 times within about 2 hours. I don't think it's overheating because it has plenty of room to breathe and doesn't feel hot when it shuts off. What could be causing this? Is the box just defective?
It is now happening constantly. Turns off, takes about 5 minutes to reboot, feed returns, immediately reboots again.
Sounds like a box that is starting to go south. Try an STB Auto Correct just in case.
MENU > CUSTOMER SUPPORT > IN HOME AGENT >Set top box auto correct.
If it's a bad stb, then verizon can replace it, i've had good luck with their click to chat. Give it a try if needed.
