My set top box, an HD Morotola QIP 71001 will, after changing the channel a few times, lose audio on certain HD channels. Unplugging and replugging the box fixes the problem, but is time consuming and annoying. Is there a fix for this?
I have this problem too on one box/tv. Switched from HDMI to Component cables and it works fine now, though the volume level is lower for some reason.
Well if your box previously worked with this TV and the problem only recently started I would call and have them send a replacement box.
Try hitting "Rewind" on the STB for a few seconds. Then hit "play". That usualkly fixes it.
