I just purchased one of those HDMI Lightning cables to work with my IPhone 6S (IOS 12.0) However when I attempt to hook up to a simple monitor or tv and utilize the FIOS APP, it won’t allow me to play (message says to disable Video capture on the phone). The APP works fine in “stand alone mode” but as soon as I hook up that cable and attempt to watch a show on the monitor, it won’t work. Incidentally when I attempt to use the NETFLIX APP, I only get voice, no video. I don’t know if this is an Apple Issue or a FIOS issue and the tech support was not helpful. Any ideas? Buddy of mine had Dish ‘on the go’ and that works nice. Any suggestions? As much as I pay for this service....I just want to project onto a monitor. I’m not recording or “video capturing” anything.
It has to do with licensing.
Verizon doesn't have the licensing to allow you to use a mobile device in place of a set top box.
Some people have found ways to cast thier screen to their TVs (I can do my samsung phone to a roku box for example)
