I SIGNED A CONTRACT THAT INCLUDED HALLMARK NON HD CHANNEL. I HAVE KEPT MY END OF THE CONTRACT. VERIZON HAS VIOLATED THAT CONTRACT THAT INCLUDED HALLMARK CHANNEL, AND PULLED IT FROM MY PACKAGE. THEY NOW WANT $20.00 A MONTH IF I WANT IT BACK. SINCE THEY DID NOT KEEP THEIR END OF THE CONTRACT UP, I AM GOING TO WITHOLD $20.00 PER MONTH PAYMENT. I FIGURE, IF IT IS NOW ALL OF A SUDDEN WORTH $20.00 A MONTH AND I HAD IT IN MY PACKAGE, I HAD BEEN PAYING FOR IT. SINCE THEY REMOVED IT, VIOLATING MY AGREEMENT TO RECEIVE IT IN MY PACKAGE, I WILL NO LONGER PAY THE $20.00 THAT IT WAS COSTING ME.
A CONTRACT IS A CONTRACT! I AGREED TO ABIDE TO PAYING A MONTHLY AMOUT FOR THE ITEMS IN THE CONTRACT. I GAVE MY WORD (SIGNED A CONTRACT). THEY CHOSE TO VIOLATE IT, THEREFORE I WILL VIOLATE MY CONTRACT AND WITHHOLD THE $20.00 THE CHANNEL IS WORTH THAT I WAS PAYING FOR IN MY PACKAGE. I AM ON SOCIAL SECURITY AND CAN BARELY AFFORD WHAT I AM PAYING NOW, AND THE {word filter avoidance} CHANNELS YOU GIVE ME LIKE LOGO AND MTV I DON'T WANT BUT HAVE TO PAY FOR. TAKE ALL THE SPORTS, MTV, LOGO,TRAVEL, COOKING CHANNELS OFF MY PACKAGE THAT I AM PAYING FOR, AND GIVE ME BACK MY HALLMARK. I'LL EXCHANGE THEM ALL FOR THE ONE CHANNEL. 239
Actually, the TOS that you agreed to allows Verizon to change your channel lineup anytime they want (and it has happened many times over the last 7 years I have had TV service - suggest you re-read the TOS in detail).
Also this is a peer to peer forum (user to user) so all you may have accomplished is lowering your blood pressure by venting (in all caps and bold no less). The only thing witholding payment will do is cause you to incur late fees and possible credit ding so I would suggest being cautious with that approach.
Just an FYI I am not employed or associated with Verizon, just another subscriber to theri services.
Just another one who signed a contract without reading or glancing over it and actually knowing what they signed.
Verizon didnt violate anything and they make it more then clear about adding or removing channels at anytime. Good luck withholding that $20 and with what comes next.
