Home wiring question - TV
skymom
Newbie

Complete non-techie here with a wiring question. We will be moving to a new home that is wired with both Cat5e and coax. There are various ports/outlets around the house, some are Cat5e and others are coaxial. I believe that Fios TV can work on either one (right?), but can it use both at the same time?....I mean, would I be able to use a TV in one room that is connected to a coax port and then in another room connect a TV to the cat5e? All of this wiring runs to a centralized box in the basement, where I presume the router would be connected.

Only way to use cat5 is to have quantum hardware. Main box is VMS which needs to be connected to ont via coax. Other remotes, IPC, can connect to VMS via Ethernet.
