Says I have the Fios TV Prime HD Plan but when I go to see what channels are available under this plan, it asks me to chose that plan I have from a drop down menu and it isn't there.
Prime was changed to preferred.
Your plan may still show on your bill or under your plan details as Prime, but as said it was renamed to preferred so use that instead.
I have the same question. Prime HD and Preferred HD are not the same, although they are mostly the same. There are several channel differences, such as Prime HD includes Showtime where Preferred does not. I could only tell the differences by using the "comparing plans" chart (selected Change Plan to see what I have and what else is available, then selecting Compare TV).

Packages vary from market to market. Where I am Prime and Preferred are exactly the same and no premium channels are included. If you get Showtime with such a basic tier consider yourself lucky.
Some people are grandfathered into packages where some channels are included that aren't in current packages. In this case there's not much one can do to comapre when Verizon doesn't keep those old plans as part of the channel lineup.
