So I just upgraded my regular Verizon Fios to Verizon Fios Quantum. I am trying to delete all my recordings, insted one by one. I could have sworn that this could be done... Please help ASAP.
Are you trying to delete from your old DVR?
If so, why?
I don't know if a way to delete everything on your HD at once.
Cause I don't want verizon to know about my watching habit.
My guess is that when it gets back to them, somone will reformat the drive without any knowledge of who had it.
And they could keep track of everything you watch and recorded (and so could any other cable provider) if they wanted.
Dont waste your time on it, if the purpose is to deny them knowledge of your viewing habits. Deleted items on a HD can be recovered by software, unless special software is used to wiped the disk clean, by overwriting HD sectors a number of times.
Noy just that they already are tracking your viewing habits, independent of recordings.
