I have 2 set-top boxes in the same room going into a AV matrix switch so I can watch 2 channels simultaneously on different tvs in the same room while I have PS4 on a third TV (also good for March Madness). The only problem is that if I switch the output through the matrix switch so that the cable boxes connect to different TV's than originally programmed (or if I am watching the content on multiple TV's at the same time), the remotes re-program themselves to the new TV. I want to program each remote to a single set top box and a single TV for simplicity. Any ideas?
Try turning CEC off on all the TVs. You could also try manually programming the remotes for each TV, but I'm not sure that would stop the auto programming feature.
