How do I watch a DVD with my new Verizon Fios Tv setup

I have had it for 2 weeks and just tried for first time tonight to watch a DVD.  I can

not figure out what I need to do.  The DVD player shows it is running but how the

heck to I actually see it

You get a DVD or bluray player and hook it up with an HDMI cable to another input on your TV, then switch the TV to that input. The Fios boxes do not have disc players built in.
