How to remove distracting ''badges'' from channel guide listings

How can I remove the ''badges'' from the tv guide listings?  These are the small pictures that show up at the very beginning of each channel listing.  It might be a picture of the star or something else related to the program.  I came across how to remove them previously but I cannot find the procedure again.

I have never seen an option to disable this.

Just for info, are you referring to the one to the far left that is for the channel, or the line that shows when a program is highlighted.

have you ever figured this out.  I just upgraded to Enhanced premium dvr.... and i find it very disappointing so far..that feature you mentioned seems to slow things down alot in the guide

Are you referring to the icon that is before each channel number?

If so, I have seen more people upset when they aren't there.

A lot of people use it as a visual add when scrolling for a channel.

And as far as I know, there is no way to disable them.
