How to remove the microphoene from the new FIOs remote conrols?

We do not allow any harware with a microphone in our home. We would like to use the new FIOS cable box and remote. But to do so we need to know how to physically discable the microphome in the remote control unit. We do not believe that eavesdropping can be turned off no mantter what any company may say.

Can anybody explain what we would need to do to phuosically remove or disable the microphone part of the remote control so we know it cannot work?

We do not have voice inputs on our PCs or laptops and we do not use smart phones nor any voice controlled devices at all.

Ask for the legacy remote. No mic and covers the same functions and a few that were removed.
