Hello,
I live in Albany, upstate New York and have been with Verizon for just short of a year. I currently am subscribed to the Custom TV Essentials Package with the Movie Lovers Pack and the Kids, Teens and Family Pack. I really want to keep this plan, (or plans) but I also was wondering if I could add a few more channels without having to upgrade to another plan.
I was told that I couldn’t do this, but I am happy with the channels that I have already and don’t want to lose them. Are subscribers able to choose any channels they aren’t subscribed to (not just premium channels) that they want to watch free for a month and substitute them for the channels that were recently removed from FIOS’ channel lineup? Thank you for your advice on this issue.

No.
That is called true a la carte programming.
Subscribe to the channels you wish and only pay for them.
Verizon (like other providers) have contracts that limit how they can bundle channels.
