The answer is yes
I just got a message on my cblstb saying they were openning free access 7-9pm eastern for 4 HBO channels, hbo, hbow, hbo-hd, hbow-hd
Unfortunately, it appears that HBO will only be showing taped highlights of the event in a 2-hour prime time slot. Too bad they aren't broadcasting the entire celebration live, similar to what networks like MTV and VH1 have done when they've broadcast day-long major charity concerts.
Philhu - can you post the message that you received? I am still not seeing anything about it.
NEW YORK, Jan. 16 /PRNewswire/ -- This Sunday (Jan 18), Verizon FiOS TV will provide all of its subscribers free access to HBO's exclusive live broadcast of the "We Are One: The Obama Inauguration Celebration" concert from the Lincoln Memorial in Washington, D.C.
FiOS TV subscribers -- whether they subscribe to HBO or not -- can see the HBO pre-inaugural special on channels HBO East on 400, HBO HD on 899, HBO West on 401 and HBO West HD on 901 at 2:30 p.m. EST and 11:30 a.m. PST.
"We're pleased and honored to have the opportunity to allow our FiOS TV subscribers to enjoy this exciting, star-studded celebration of history in the making," said Shawn Strickland, vice president of FiOS products for Verizon.

Yeah, they screwed that up big time! Cut it off at 8:50
They cut off the replay. They did not cut off the live broadcast.
First of all, the replay is what Verizon promoted. They didn't say they would have the live feed on. Second, from what others have said, Verizon cut the first 15 minutes of the live feed. So either way, we got screwed!
