So I just upgraded to Quantum TV, before i had the motorola 7232, standard DVR.
I thought one of the advantages of getting Quantum was that I would be able to stream my DVR recordings when I am not home and out of network on my tablet or phone using the FIOS mobile app?
When I went to test a few shows many of them gave me a VMS_1039 error, saying it could not get license to stream out of network, for example any shows on FOX.
I tried contacting support and they told me this is normal, I am so confused becuase when I spoke to verizon on the phone when I placed the order they told me I could stream anything that was recorded on my DVR?
Is there a way to fix this or is this a limitation?
You can stream DVR content outside of your home.
use the in app help feature to open a TT.
they have been helpful to me in the past.
Others have reported the same 1039 issue you have.
But no one has ever reported a resolution.
if you get one, please post here so others can be informed.
I did open up a ticket, they told me not everything can be streamed out of network only certain content and is working as normal.
So basically they lied to me on the phone when I asked them this before I placed the order?
I have never had an issue with streaming DVR content outside my house.
So far, I have only heard some people mention that they think FOX channels do not allow streaming but I can't say that I have tried them.
