Known 'bug' list for Verizon Media VCR?

Can anyone from Verizon provide a list of the known problems in the current IMG software?

The ones I am aware of are:

1). Incorrect Channel logo temporarily displaying when changing channels

2). Occasional refusal of box to recognize remote commands

3).  Random Pops and drops on audio

4). When streaming SD TV from the DVD to a 2500 box, random uncommanded fast forward, either for no reason at all, or as a result of requesting 'forward 30 seconds'.

5). Occasional failure to acknowledge delete of recording from the Internet causing application to hang

6). Occasional failure to actually delete a program is reported as deleted from the Internet.

7). Variety of HDMI issues, however I am unsure if these are really firmware or issues from incorrect/inadequate compliance to the published standard.  I haven't experienced them, as I use component cables, and there have been no problems with that.

Anyway, someday I'd like to be able to play back just a single program from my Media DVR on the 2500 box without having it go into fast forward several times, or have remote commands ignored.

Anyway, unless there is a list of the problems visible to the users, we don't know which ones Verizon knows about and has on the list to fix.

Having owned a couple of other DVR's (neither of which supports HD), I am not impressed with the Verizon product.

my thoughts.

As a general rule, major corporations do not provide "bug lists" for obvious reasons (legal and marketing).

I've seen issues #1-4 and #7 noted by other users in other threads.   The most commonly reported issue is probably the misreporting of available capacity that requires a hard reboot (pull of plug) to fix.  The next major update is expected by the end of the summer, and should address some of these issues with the FiOS DVR.  Verizon is still fairely new to the world of DVRs, but over time, their software will improve and mature. Verizon continues to invest heavily in improving their software.

If you are not satisfied with the FiOS DVR, or want a HDTV DVR without those issues, then you always have the option of buying your own CableCard DVR.  There are two choices currently on the market (TivoHD and Moxi), which start at $250.  Note neither of these third-party HDTV DVR products can support FiOS Video On Demand, although they do integrate other sources of content, such as Netflix, Amazon Unbox, and Hulu.
