New to FIOS and live in New Castle Co. DE. Local weather channel is for Philadelphia, PA. Used to get New Castle for local weather when we had Comcast but calls to Verizon say that right now this is all that is offered. Have set up the Widget but want more details and warnings. Anyone else bothered by this?
Verizon can not yet offer as localized services as cable companies like Comcast, etc. They just do not have nearly the number of local video hubs yet to do so.
With prime hurricane season now on us - not having my local weather is very disturbing to me. Even Little Mediacom had local weather for Sussex County, DE - Millsboro. Philadelphia isn't remotely appropriate for the Eastern Shore south Delaware and eastern shore MD. With Verizon technology and $$$ this should be a no-brainer. Come on, serve our $$$$s better!

Try the Weather Channel - - it's always up to date and has all weather related warnings.

I have yet to encounter any TV-based weather service that's even remotely professional or comprehensive (and I've been an offshore sailor for many decades). If you are at all serious about weather and its effects and consequences, I suggest you turn to what the pros use. For example, if you cannot find accurate and useful weather services at the NWS online or NOAA online, I'd be very surprised.
