Sometimes commercials, especially locally-inserted ones, are MUCH louder than the programs. In some cases this can cause problems with neighbors since I need to have the volume up enough to hear the program properly but when it switches to commercial it can become ear-splittingly loud until the commercial is over. A related issue is that some channels have vastly different volumes. I think Verizon should try to broadcast all at a similar volume.
Please view our post regarding this issue under FiosTV Technical assistance. This is an issue coming from the broadcast providers but Verizon is trying to accumalate info to present to them. Post http://forums.verizon.com/t5/FiOS-TV-Technical-Assistance/Commercials-TOO-Loud/td-p/86700 discusses this and asks for more info on when the loudness occurs. Thanks..:) If you have a TV with smart sound it can be used and should help in the meantime.
