Opening Day is Thursday 3/31 and the only listings I see are for hockey games. When we will see baseball schedules?

samfan ... Right there with you. I called VZ this afternoon, and went through 4 people - none of which could give me an answer. Finally I asked to talk to a supervisor named "Rich" who also couldn't tell me why there were no schedules up yet. His only answer was, "baseball doesn't start until tomorrow, so MLB will not broadcast until then." DUH!!! NO KIDDING!!! While I was on line with him, I went online to DirecTV, and read off the schedule of games they showed on their site. He still had no helpful response. I've been with FiOS for about 1 month. I wish I hadn't left DirecTV.

It appears that InDemand, the company that provides Extra Innings to the cable companies and Verizon, has not released a schedule. I've looked under TV Guide Listings and TitanTV Listings and neither have information about Extra Innings for Verizon or Comcast (the other provider in my area).
Direct TV is different. They don't use InDemand. They have their own agreement with MLB just like they do with all the other leagues.

Less than 4 hours away from the first pitch of the 2011 season. And, still no schedule of games on the Guide. I leave in 4 hours on a business trip. No way to program my DVR to record any gamse. Thanks Verizon.

Correct me if I'm wrong but during the spring when NHL/MLB overlap they are shown on the same PPV channels.
You can find the listings here. The listing shows Comcast/RCN, but the channel numbers/names are the same on FIOS so just use those as a guide for now.

I was a loyal DirecTV customer for 10 years. I had the MLB Extra Innings package every year. It's the ONLY reason I had a dish package because I got all my local channels on Comcast. When I got an offer "I couldn't refuse" to switch to FiOS I made it clear that I would do so ONLY if they had MLB Extra Innings. How was I to know that the MLB Extra Innings package varied by provider? Two game in HD? Instead of nearly every game with DirecTV! Not only that, but DirecTV provides both home and away feeds to nearly every game. AND they don't share a channel with hockey! In order to watch my team in HD I've used MLB network and ESPN so far ... not one game on the MLB package. Can't we file some sort of class action suit claiming that Verizon does not provide a package they claim to? Or at least make them advertise that the package is not the same as other providers?

So happy that Verizon added all 9 HD channels from In Demand for the 2013 season!

I agree, but some knucklehead will still find something to complain about.
