http://www.multichannel.com/article/231696-MSG_Speculation_Grows.php CABLEVISION Set to Spin off MSG, Knicks, Rangers, MSG Network, MSG Arena, Liberty, Radio City, FUSE and Beacon Theatre.
MSG HD / MSG + HD might actually happen before September 2009-Winter 2010 NHL and NBA Seasons

Sounds like shareholders are pressing Dolan to cut the cable operations side from the Cablevision entertainment/sports division. So that could, theoretically take Dolan out of the Cable providing busines. If Rainbow Media and MSG are truly separated from Cablevision (which could get bought up by something like Time Warner Cable), then there would be no legitimate reason to keep the HD channels or even News 12 off FIOS.
The problem is that James Dolan is frequently proposing these things, only to renege later on. The shareholders of Cablevision want him out as badly as everyone else.
For the Techman, Verizon Employees , FIOS Solution Centers, what can you tell us, what you know about MSG HD , MSG + HD on FIOS < now that this hope of MSG HD is dashed now that the Spinoff is not happening
thanks
