MSNBC Still Not Available Where Verizon Competes With Cablevision

Verizon FiOS doesn't yet carry MSNBC in the areas they compete with Cablevision because when Cablevision did their original contract with MSNBC way back when, they shrewdly hoodwinked MSNBC into giving them exclusivity in the areas they service.  It's my understanding that MSNBC has assured Verizon that when that contract term is up, Cablevision can take those exclusivity rights and shove them up their {word filter avoidance}  

I keep hearing conflicting info concerning when this MSNBC contract with Cablevision is up.  Anyone?
