Can I save a movie rental for later viewing on the dvr?

I am sorry but you can not record rented movies on the DVR.

What's driving me crazy, is I rent a movie.  Esample -- Starz On Demand, as I am a Starz subscriber.

When I pause a rental.  After about 1 minute, it says 'Paused Too Long" or wirds to that effect.  I click 'resume play', and it starts from the beginning!!!!!  How frustrating!!!!!

Is there a way to avoid this problem?

The only way to keep it from timing out is to press play for a second then pause again. This will reset the timeout clock.
