We had a power outage a few days ago which wiped out our DVR...all recordings, data....GONE! We were unable to record new shows either. It was like we had no DVR. We could still watch tv, but had some on demand issues. Contacted Verizon rep for help. He sent a signal to reboot the DVR, but a cycle began of a continuous white flashing light for about a minute followed by a red exclamation point and an E which displays for about five seconds, then the flashing white light cycle repeats itself. They are sending a replacement DVR in a few days, but in the meantime I have no cable to watch!! Is there any resolution to this? Before the reboot signal was sent, I could at least watch TV. I just had no DVR. The problem only got worse.
It sounds as though STB failed.
Reset caused a reboot which then caused STB to become completely inoperable.
Unfortunately, only option is to use FIOS Mobile or TV app to watrch shows until replacement arrives.
