Multiroom DVR - Question

I'm considering switching from DirecTV to FiOS TV.  We are heavy DVR users, have 3 DVRs on 3 different TVs.

Some questions for the FiOS experts:

  1. With the FiOS multiroom HD DVR, how many shows can you record simultaneously?
  2. Can you watch live tv on the DVR and also view recorded content at the same time on another TV with just a STB?
  3. Can you watch live tv, or recorded content, on the DVR and also view recorded content at the same time on TWO other TVs with just a STB?
  4. What is the recording capacity of the FiOS HD DVR?

Thanks for your help

  1. With the FiOS multiroom HD DVR, how many shows can you record simultaneously?  2 per DVR
  2. Can you watch live tv on the DVR and also view recorded content at the same time on another TV with just a STB?  YES
  3. Can you watch live tv, or recorded content, on the DVR and also view recorded content at the same time on TWO other TVs with just a STB?  YES the norm is upto TWO HD's or 3 SD simultaneous
  4. What is the recording capacity of the FiOS HD DVR?   Depends on Model.  They have two models that are still in circulation that are 160 GB hard drives and that gives an "estimated" recording time of 85 hours SD recording and 20 hours HD recording, and they have two newer DVR's that are in circulation that are 500 GB hard drives and they are "estimated" recording times of 300 hours SD and 71 hours HD.   Most models also include ESATA ports and you can add upto a 1 or 2 TB hard drive external (has to be ESATA) to increase storage capacity.   1 TB gives an estimated 620 hours SD and 148 hours HD recording time, so double that for 2 TB
