Why couldn't I watch Nascar race ? It was on live DirecTv. Wasn't available on any of my Fios line up.

Are you talking about last nights race? 8/23/14? It was on for me. I watched it.

This is a case of local affiliates doing something different, not cable/satellite companies doing something.

A lot of local affiliates have been pre-empting network programming for NFL preseason, and putting the network programming on other channels.  What was on your local ABC station instead of the race?

How do you know it was on DirecTV?  Was it from a friend in the same TV market, or someone with a different ABC station?
