Has Verizon added more HD channels in your area? Where are you? The last group in FL. was FX, WGN,Speed,HMC,Abc family. I'm hoping for Spike and BBC America next.

Verizon designates each area by the VHO(Video Hub Office) that the region is serviced by. This is where your feed is brought from the verizon network to your home. Each VHO has a designated number, unfortunatly, i am not allowed to list them in here. Off the top of my head i believe there is one for each of oregon/washington, CA, IN, TX, FL, southern VA, northern VA/MD, PA/DE, Ohio, IL, southern NJ/DE, northern NJ/southern NY, the rest of NY, and MA/RI.

Thanks, Telcoguru!
So, seeing as I'm VHO 14, does that mean I'll be one of the last to receive updates, specifically these new HD channels. From what I'm hearing, the lower VHOs (such as Philly) have already received the new channels. I'm anxiously awaiting the NHL Network.

The numbers don't have anything to do with priority. VHO 14 may be the first to get some things and the last to get others.

Don't ask for new HD content too fast, you may lose some. In Philly (VH08) we got our NFL net and Big 10 NET only to lose ESPN HD unless I move to Extreme HD for more money. Thats right I have a 2 year contract with the Premier level which is no longer offered but up through July I had ESPN HD. They may say I have more HD programming than I am paying for with the new additions, but ESPN HD is important to me. I left Comcast to get NFL NET under a base tier so as not to spend extra, but I was not expecting to lose ESPN HD
Be aware that Verizon now offers a bundle of 20/5 Internet and FiOS HD Extreme for $79.99/mo total. This bundle is known as the "Flex Plan." That's probably less than you are paying now with Premier.
Purchased separately, 20/5 Internet sells for $52.99 ($57.99 w/o local phone service) and FiOS HD Extreme sells for $57.99.
