This is a trivial Complaint, I know.  Had to replace box/Dvr after about 6 years. Dismayed they cheapened it, in my opinion, by not having an a/c plug in the back anymore!  Had to go out and buy a 6 outlet pack, move heavy furniture, just to have a place to plug my tv into! I should also point out when I wanted to,order a new remote and said no because of the price, the rep said I would be getting 2 . Well, what you actually get is 1 remote that has 2 device buttons, not even the 4 I was replacing. And I use all four! Way to go Verizon.

Annecdotally, it was reported that Verizon went to a 2 button remote because they were getting too many tech support calls where people were pressing the wrong button and then couldn't get TV or STB to work.

Plus I have seen reports of more and more devices not working with 4 button remote as newer devices were coming out.
