Hi all,
Just had FIOS installed yesterday and for the most part, I really like it. I've been a DISH customer for over 10 years but the triple play package I was offered was too good to pass up, so I made the change. I'll be reasding more in the fourms but one thing I noticed and was dissappointed by was getting the NHL Center Ice package and then seeing that the feeds, except for the NHL HD channel, are all in SD. DISH's feeds were all in HD so I was wondering if anyone could commnet on how quickly FIOS upgrades channels to HD? Also, I found it irritating to see you could only make two Favorite lists while DISH let me make 4 I think. With so many channels, that seems like a strange limitation to me and I was wondering if more had been requested by FIOS customers to better manage sets of channels?
Thanks

Lately the pace has been Glacial (virtually non-existent). I certainly wouldn't hold my breath waiting for the additional channels to be provided in HD.
Yep, did a search on this and seems like a lot of hot air from last year but this is really ridiculous particularly given that I just gave up DISH with a promise of the same service, that's what the rep told me and I even had him call in to make sure, and I was told absolutely, all in HD. Should have done a bit more digging first as I won't be ordering it next year unless I get ALL of the games in HD. SD hockey on a 54" plasma or a 50" LED LCD is not a pretty sight and is just a rip-off for the cost.
I just signed up for Fios Extreme HD w/ Fios 25/25 Internet the other day.
My install is in March
I was a DirecTV subscriber since 2001 and have never had any issues w/ DTV.
Upgrading my internet from Verizon DSL 3 MB system
Crossing FIngers
I used Tivo DVR boxes I owned outright (no loan/borrow).
Im getting a Multi room DVR, DVR and HD Settop for 3 rooms
I have the link to do the DVR upgrade if the box I get on install isnt the new Motorolo 7232
Anything I should be worried about or prepare for?

You can expect the internet speeds to usually exceed the limits, both up and down
and the multi-room dvr is really awesome. Prepare to learn how to use the widgets to
your benefit (traffic, weather, etc) - a nice feature that many overlook. Good luck!
I was told the same thing by reps. I was told without doubt ALL NHL center ice games are in HD. I am alos experiencing an increase in blackout's over DirecTV.
Disappointing to say the least...
